Provided leadership and direction with multiple unique initiatives, partnering with athletics, university advancement, and campus, respectively. The projects included brand positioning for athletics on a national platform, leadership, team development, strategies, and positioning the advancement team for a university capital campaign.

Conducted departmental profile, assessment, and analysis. Guided key searches, including athletic director and head football coach.

Developed department breadth/depth study and recommendations. Analyzed program efficiencies and modifications. Conducted strategic planning development and revenue generation studies.

Conducted a comprehensive strategic planning process, focusing on developing mission and vision statements to align with core values, strategies for implementation, and campus enrollment management plans.
Lindenwood University
Created a strategic plan to assist with transitioning from DII to DI status. Benchmarked across conference and national peers to recommend appropriately targeted investments. Determined fiscal approach to prioritize investments in highest performing sport programs and to minimize/eliminate expenditures associated with underperforming programs.
University of South Dakota
Served as a special assistant twice, most recently supporting the national search for a new athletic director. Developed an athletics capital campaign plan to complement the institutional capital campaign plan. This process included conducting a SWOT analysis of the athletic department to capitalize on current strengths and future opportunities.
University of California, Davis
Severed as special assistant to the athletic director. Advised on department organizational structure and communication flow. Supported leadership development initiatives.
Utah State University
Served as special assistant to the President. Completed analysis of the department and assisted with athletic director transition. Developed a comprehensive activation plan in target areas within athletics and the university.
Washington State University
Reviewed the current landscape in college athletics and developed business models to address the institution’s evolution along that landscape. In addition to the models, MRJ provided a benchmarking study to identify opportunities, competitive advantages, and considerations. Partnered with WSU Athletics and WSU Finance and Administration in a benchmarking project to address possible scenarios and evolving conference and institutional affiliations.
